Check it out. This Sunday I’ll be in San Diego at the San Marcos Best Buy Store to sign copies of the San Diego Fire Relief CD. A few other artists will be in attendance! If you’re not close to Southern California, call your friends who are, and tell them to come out, grab a copy of the disc which makes money that goes to families rebuilding their communities, and I’ll put my positive hand on your forehead, kiss your baby, and autograph the excellent collection of San Diegans’ Music.
That’s this Sunday, March 30th, from 4-6pm. I’ll be the guy in the corner of the store wearing a hat, holding a Sharpee, and fighting some jet lag.

Bring it people: Sunday 4-6pm

San Diegans are a fortunate breed. So a hat is all you'll be wearing?
YAY! Can't wait to see you. Have a safe flight home!!! :-)
Unfortunately, that's the other side of the nation from me, but I'll gladly bug my San Diegan friends to come see you.
I'd be there if I lived there... sigh..
I would so buy at least 20 more copies of that CD if I could find a way to get out there... but seeing as I'm in the process of selling my soul... funds and plane tickets are lacking.
But I'll be driving for many hours to see you in Atlanta... I'll be the one wearing a hat, holding a Sharpie and fighting... "car"-lag?
<333
Give my best to Billy.
I can't wait until this summer when I can come to these events myself. For now, I'll have to beg someone to show up and play the part of me.
The upside is I'm really glad I waited to buy the CD! :)
Peaceful sleeps on the plane...
I have the cd, and it's beautiful. Wish I could be there.
do you ever rest?
xoxo
How sad is it, that I'm going to miss you by a day?...although I do have a few friends in SD, that owe me a couple of favors.....take care.
Where can I get my very own copy?
Wearing a hat and holding a "sharpy"....is that like a pet name? :) That mirage will make for a nice midday oasis!
Blessings on the fund raising!
Millie
): come to new york best buy please
i wish i could come!!!!!!! can we pruchase the cd online?
I'd love for you to sign my baby with a sharpie when you come thru atlanta :)
OH EM GEE! I can't wait! I'm going with my roommate and fam. I'm so excited I haven't seen you since that one time at that one show.
I'm trying to find a way to see you... I'm seriously considering spending my savings and flying to Montreal. Hopefully you'll add some more dates to this tour. Or just something a little closer to Colorado. "And I will find a way to you if it kills me, if it kills me"
Dang it man! I wish I could be there! It's weird that you say you'll be there to "kiss your baby's forehead" and stuff. Cause the other night I had a dream I was at your concert where you were outside just playing on the grass and we all just sat down and listened and it was amazing. Then I decided to go get my baby...(I do not have any children). So, it was kind of funny. I don't know if it was supposed to be yours and my child or what, but it was weird. So, you can kiss my imaginary baby's forehead in my dreams!! Welcome back to Cali!
i like firemen. they're cool.
that's all i got right now. sorry.
~peace~
i've been wishing if all THAT'd happen right here, in Malaysia. i mean, do get around here some day(!)
i love firemen though. they're hot. *wink wink*
You'll be the one with the hat and I'll be the one with the traditional Khasaktani Wedding Sack..I'm just kidding its from Borat. Thanks for making the time to come home!
I remember you saying that you used to be into Belle & Sebastian.
I was glad to see your roots weren't in manure, but humble soil.
Have you had a listen to
ANDREW BIRD?!
If you scoped all the Blogotheque
video's I'm sure you would've
seen one by him.
He's a brilliant lyricist.
(I'm sure you can attest)
P.S. What happened to 'Happy Endings'? In juju you claimed it
to be one of your prized songs thus far.
I'm worried that the corporate
giants put it up on the shelf.
B-side?
Mr. Mraz,
You suggest I make a 10 hour drive? hmm... maybe just maybe...
San Diego I hardly new thee... 3 months was not enough for me, and I never made it out to Rainbow or the ZOO... even though I always drove by them!
anyways ...
You are another kind of extraordinary. You are giving back so much to YOUR community- see you don't steal things, you merely borrow. Keep it up.
buen dia,
-PJ
p.s. be careful with those sharpie fumes!!
fascinating how different lives can be. Jet lag is in experiance I've never made but being tired... very usual. I hope autographing will keep you awake our that you can use your hat for faking... very busy man ;)
Maybe someday we will get a glimpse of each other, but I guess it wont be tomorrow...
you've handed us lots of loot in the past few weeks (what's a girl to do with all of this awesomeness? videos and eps and blogs, oh my), and so, for to thank you, here is an "i heart" list, brought to you by my superior vena cava.
i heart:
+the vibe of the "i'm yours" vid. i mean, it gives one big chase to my string. makes me feel all wanderlust and blue sky. i heart that you really made that video feel like you were community-building. i mean, the obvious choice for a video concept would have been "one guy, one girl," but instead you stretched out and made it more about all of us giving ourselves to each other, which is just totally warm and fuzzy. and you are nothing less than golden honeycomb in your blender tees.
+i heart the ep very much indeed. i like that your voice is a little croaky in the lower register on the casa nova sessions tracks (though clear as a bell in the higher register, as usual). it makes me feel like we're all listening to you singing in the early morning, and there are probably pancakes involved.
+a friend sent along a youtube video of you and james morrison performing at the itunes festival. and whoa, i really heart that. that tune gives good goosebump.
+also, just want to agree with onehandclap and say that i heart andrew bird too... especially the mysterious production of eggs. (and... this is embarrassing, but i'll say it anyway... i also like mister bird because i like to imagine marrying people with last names that sound hip when hyphenated with mine. i mean, ashley bliss-bird? come on.)
is that hugh grant tickling a ukulele?
yo, i wish i could come see you. i can't wait til you play in ny in a few weeks. do you ever miss that city? i miss it and i'm only like, 2 hours away. haha then again i've never been to cali, so.
yo Mraz- I heard you're also playing at the padre game Monday. I'm bummed that I won't be in town, but I will see you in Chicago soon, so all is well.
I got the chance to digitally download your 'We Sing' tracks and can't wait for the rest of your new stuff and I never usually write on these things but one of your new tracks has hit particularly close to home lately.
I had one of my very platonic friendships turn sour this weekend after he sent flowers to my work and confessed his love in the card. Listening to your song, I'm trying to understand where he was coming from, but his "wishful thinking" and bold moves really shocked the hell out of me. Women really can be oblivious sometimes. If the song is true for you then I'm sorry I can't imagine the pain associated with that side of this sticky situation. But trust me, my place is not an easy one either. But I'm sure you would handle things a lot better than my friend did. I'm starting to think Harry and Sally were right, that "men and women can't be friends," and I'm hanging onto the hope that they can.
I hope no ladies bring the death of you. Your music amazes me and continues to get me through a lot. Thank you dear. Happy touring.
Hey Jason,
Personally I doubt you read these comments but if you do, wow and thank you. I came out to your signing today and was blown away by the fact that you were even nicer in person (And taller than I imagined). Thank you so much for coming down to SD for us to promote this great cause and for signing my shirt and shoe, I know that the requests were random :). I'd also like to express the greatest graditude to you for letting me wear your hat (and for wearing mine), it was truly an honor. Hope to meet you again, you have no idea how you made me and my sister's day, no year!
Peace,
Iman.
Jason,
I tried and tried and tried and my optimism didn't play out. Being in another state makes it difficult to stand in line...But I phoned several times and dispite my efforts to purchase a copy *(preferably signed) over the phone I was thwarted by the obstacles between my phone and your beautiful voice. But optimism is what it is and so in the spirit of it How can I purchase a copy of Fire Relief? preferably signed....but I'll understand. It was worth the try. I hope the event was a massive success! How much was raised for charity?
Please please please come to Omaha soon!
blessings,
Millie
Too bad I couldn't make it. Would have asked you to put your positive hand on my baby & kiss my forehead instead. Hope it was a fun time & you sold lots of copies. I love mine, even though there is no permanent marker on it the music tastes the same.
Hello I just entered before I have to leave to the airport, it's been very nice to meet you, if you want here is the site I told you about where I type some stuff and make good money (I work from home): here it is
Hey mrazifanatics!
If you haven't seen "The U.S. vs John Lennon" rent it. I watched it last night and couldn't help but notice the cry out for change and the similiraties to our own time. I never realized what an impact Mr. Lennon had on the whole country! Reminded me so much of Jason in so many ways. So check it out!!!
Hey Jason,
Were you much of a skate boarder? My Husband and I just bought a "ripstick." We keep it in the back of the van and whenever we are driving around or what not we stop in an empty parking lot and have fun for a while. It is so much fun and stores easily in biodiesle bus storage!!! We just spent 2 hours hanging out in a parking lot eating dinner and riding the ripstick with the kids. Big Zany fun!
Blessings,
Millie
