June is a month full of Birthdays. Already I’ve celebrated my Mom’s, Brother’s, and Grandma’s Birthdays. Also Pat Boone, Michael J Fox, & Shia Le’Boouf have all been sung happy birthday this soon in the month.
Therefore I should mention a few more friends who have been born to us recently.
All of these artists have just released new music that’s worth a listen. Visit their pages and wish them some congrats or give them the gift of your download.

Two Spot Gobi are my friends from Brighton, UK. We’ve shared many shows together, as well as beers and women while revealing our naked selves to each other in tiny dressing rooms.

I met Keaton Simons at camp. He has enormous talent and is a righteous dude. I think it is because he and his family survived a serious monkey attack while visiting a country where monkeys live.

Jen Lowe
Jen Lowe is the hot lady who joined me onstage throughout the 2004 Tour of the Curbside Prophets. This is her first solo album and comes at an appropriate time as she too is now flying solo. Hell yeah Jen. Thank God.

Dawn Kinnard
Dawn Kinnard turned me onto Gospel Music again. We would sit up all night singing Jesus songs to each other while I was in London making my album. Her album isn’t Gospel, but the soul in her lyrics & melody is from another time & dementia. She will get under your skin.

I saw Dawn Kinnard when she supported jack Savoretti in glasgow last month - that is one hell of a voice. Had to get the album after that.
June babies are the best babies. (I'm proof, you're proof, etc.)

random, but my car totally broke down on an onramp to i95 in the middle of a bumper to bumper traffic jam while my friend and i were driving around just listening to your cd, and the last lyrics i heard as i pulled off onto the shoulder before i had a mini breakdown and had to get towed home was "everything will be fine" from "details in the fabric." thank God for your cd. =]

Turns out I only had time to read it because I'm recovering from a knee injury from not too long ago. I'm using your positive energy technique, and it's helping alot, even if it is only in my head.
And finally, long story short, your amazing and an insane inspiration to me, whether I'm facing hard times or playing guitars. Your music brings about a positive disposition, a pat on the shoulder and big hug.

so, in honor of being a fan....
i'm getting a tattoo, but not a rooster like everyone else has gotten. i'm original,i'm getting a combined mraz/bwalla-ish thing. plus partly some stuff for me as well. but it's going to be good.
i'll show you after it's completed. getting it done saturday @ 5pm. it's going to be kinda big, but i'm excited for it. it's very beauty full work so far. and the guy doing it for me is an artist, not just a tattoo guy.

And since we are talking June babies, I have one of my own, and she adores you. She just turned four on Sunday, and from the moment she was born she has been a force larger than life itself. I really think she (and her big sis) would melt your heart if you saw them singing I'm Yours. Just today she said, "Jason Mraz is so awesome! He sings the coolest songs." This from a girl who named her stuffed dinosaur Jack Johnson, and sings along to the Beatles. I guess you are in pretty good company :D

siiigh. it's friday night and i'm trying (dutifully) to study for an exam held early tomorrow...but i'm a procrastinator. and you've posted the perfect kind of thing for me right at this moment...myspace pages full of music to sample. solid. the air outside here tonight is cleancleanclean and i can smell lilacs and the river coming through the window, and keaton's voice is a sweet slice of flawless for this exact moment. his voice is so warm, like dark woodgrain. thanks for sharing. all the tunes are pretty great, actually. dawn's voice is delicious and capricious and kind of like a changeling. i'd love to hear her sing old gospel. or, like, some delta blues.
