If someone is thinking of you does that make your nose itch?
If they’re talking about you does that make your ears burn?
What about jock-itch? Or rug-burn?
What’s happening elsewhere in the universe to prompt that?
When another tour is nearing its finale, my eyes feel full, generating their own kind of static electricity. It’s a tired feeling. Focus goes in and out. I can no longer make sense of foreign road signs that I can’t make sense of anyway.
For this, I toss my contacts when tours are over. Of course it has everything to do with the lenses being exhausted, but I see it as a way of saying goodbye to the things I’ve seen. A closing ceremony to honor point B. And while two contact lenses don’t amount to much, I prefer to drop some weight from the suitcase before the long flight home. Every ounce counts when your bringing home books y besos for the best friends.
Y’know, sometimes the generosity of another can be quite overwhelming, but it is a good thing to practice receiving. Without people on the receiving end, there would be no givers. Every person is vital to the flow. A friend in need is a friend indeed. If this confuses your humble self, just say thank you and take the present without telling yourself you don’t deserve it. Society has a way of fooling you into feeling small or less-than if you find yourself at the receiving end of someone’s kindness. I have friends that hate when I pay for things. But I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for the kindness of those friends through the years; those who loaned me their cars, allowing me to sleep on their couch for years without paying rent, taking me to movies, feeding me, smoking me out, etc. These days, supporting someone else’s journey is more than my karmic duty. It is my greatest pleasure. Even if my contribution is just one meal, it uplifts me to fill the belly of another to fuel their continued travels. If we all Give what we Get then there will always be plenty for everyone to enjoy at just the right time.
These days I’m still at the gaping end of a horn-o-plenty so it’s easy to share the wealth. The goods just keep falling into my lap. But, while every gift has a good intention it’s hard to accept “stuff” when on the move. I rarely buy “things” on the road. Words and pictures make the best souvenirs for any adventure. Just press a flower into a notebook and call it a day.
Nothing could weigh more than the memory of Bailando con Barcelona, or cold-rocking our music over Madrid, transforming into a spit-sweaty mess to the tune of Olé. No trippy snowglobe could out-satisfy the stains of sold out shows in my shorts. Welcome to Spain. No gift shop required.

Check out the Story of Stuff at StoryofStuff.com. It’s an insightful presentation about how and why “stuff” is made and sold to us over and over again and why we think we need so much of it.
Keep this story in mind come shopping season. Maybe it’ll inspire you to invest your money in friends’ businesses or travels, in community arts programs, local charities, etc. Do it always in the name of those you love and let everyone live a clutter free life, light, and radiating with generosity from all sides of the practice.
Prepared, my eyes are off to Portugal to face off with perhaps the wildest audience this side of the Euphrates.
Question of the Moment:
Does your nose itch?

As always, you inspire. Thank you for changing my life and making it better.
Love, Carrie
Yes, my nose itches indeed. Perhaps someone is thinking of me. The insight you've given is quite thought motivating.
Although, instead of money, sometimes time and effort is all we really need to invest in someone else to make the world a better place.
Hope you don't mind the doublepost! Going back to The Story of Stuff, I can really see exploitation of nature in the city itself.
Construction lines the streets and mounds of dirt where trees used to be rule urban life. I think schools are starting to teach more about climate change in the classroom - hopefully the next generation will be more enviro-concious.
"If we all Give what we Get then there will always be plenty for everyone to enjoy at just the right time. "
Just what I needed to hear today. The universe continues to amaze me. Thanks for being part of it. :)
funny it's been itching all day... what about yours? ;)
Hmm, I cannot say that my nose itches but my left ear started itching just before I started reading your post?
With my birthday on its way soon, this further embedded that I do not need nor do I want more stuff. Especially considering the fact that the people I know have given me their friendship every other day of the year.
I love your blog and I remain a loyal reader :]
I envy your writing skills. Amazing =)
i pass by a storage space place on the way to work everyday, and my buddy said something funny yet insightful if you think about it :) he said..."i dont get storage places, if you need to rent space to store your things, then you have too much shit!"
i never thought of it that way. haha.
anyway. this is what your blog made me think of...
oh that and CSI, because that first picture looks like a crime scene...no likey :(
It is alright to receive even if you do not know who it is from........?
Hey J my lite traveller,
I just read an article about material ownership recently, and the bottomline was "Love Life, not Stuff', which I will hold on to as one of my mantras.
Thank you for opening our eyes, once again. We love you in Malaysia!
Besos y abrasos,
Audrey
Hey J,
p.s. my nose itched yesterday
:)
Hi Jason,
i so love your blogs and your songs... i learn a lot from just reading your posts.. very inspiring :)
never stop yourself from being a blessing to someone :)
in joy..
Jing
my mom always says my ears should burn when she talks about me, but i can never decide if that old adage is true or if my sensitive irish skin is flaring up in the sun yet again. i'll assume the former just to make myself feel better.
my nose doesn't currently itch, but yours should be! i just finished listening to "burning bridges" and marveled yet again at how good a song can truly be.
can't wait for you to bring your generosity in the form of music to three of my days this summer. there are few things that can make me quite as happy as going to one of your concerts with my friends =]
It soo lovely!!... you make wann do even better things, GRACIAS!!!...
I can not wit to see you in philadelphia this summer, is the first time I'll see you preformece and i allready love it
Con amor!! J..

Ur tour schedule is so intense, I get tired thinking abt it. Can only imagine how it actually feels like going thru itin person. U're amazing in finding very ounce of goodness in ur touring lifestyle, no matter how exhausting & homesick touring may be.
The modern society does have more than it ever needs. Many live in an excessive world with too much of everything. Stuff are produced, acquired, and thrown away without much thought of the resources and energy involved in the production. It's just so wasteful. It makes me sad.
I have to remind myself the practice of giving & receiving. I'm one to feel guilty for receiving, esp when it's done often. Should remind self: don't always have to give back to the person you rec'd from, but rather giving forward. Thx, Js.
My ears ring and my eye twitches. Itching nose just = seasonal allergies.
Luv & Laughter, K
P.S. Thx 4 blogging on top of the 12 twitter ?s.
Nice. Take pleasure in your new set of contacts. I always do.
You're right Jason, words and pictures are the best souvenirs. Words plus pictures equals memories for the present (in the moment), and future - and therefore - past (in the future, when you're reminiscing about those times or when you're recounting in vivid imagination, those times to others). And yes, my nose itches because I have the whole world to count on.
Jess...
That's so funny! My mind hadn't gone to CSI when I saw J's photo, but now that you say it TOTALLY looks like a crime scene!!!
yes, jason. my nose itches because you're thinking about me. ;)
keep well rested, drink lots of water, get some of that joyology stuff to keep you going and don't worry about me and the shopping season...me and shopping don't get along. i'm saving my money for some new tires on my car....i actually need them so i can drive to work in the winter.
I go to Goodwill at least 3 times a year to share my stuff. This exercise seems to clear my head and my heart. Your surrounding environment is an indication of what's going on inside.
I also think holding on to stuff for years and years creates a nest of conflicting energies. Share the wealth for your health.
Rentable storage...dude,wtf?
Sadly, somebody = genius.
And J, I don't like that picture. I watch too much A&E and I agree with Jess...that picture is creeping me the hell out. No likey!
I mean that in the nicest way.
Are your ears burning?
Laaa
why are you so amazing?! every word you write is beautiful.
why are you so amazing?! every word you write is beautiful.
This post made me think of http://www.kickstarter.com/. Keeping dreams alive and making them happen!
Much love.
The roads twist and turn and fade in and out it seems.. like life. You are a continuous inspiration and it makes my fingers and mind itch to write!
If your palm itches you're going to come into some money...
I'll see you when you hit the ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH at Red Rocks! I'll be right there staring yuh down from the front row! I'll bring you something for the memory!
Live Laugh Cheers!
I was always told that an itchy nose meant you were going to get into a fight, itchy palms meant you were going to come into money, and itchy ears meant someone was talking about you. Itchy ears were never in a positive sense, such as 'someone's saying nice things about you.' It was always meant maliciously, as though someone were spreading false rumors or something. But I like your view of things much better.
At my job, I'm only temporary staff for the summer, and my boss was out before the last pay period came (the 3rd). Subsequently, she missed the cut off date for my time sheets and I couldn't get paid.
While it was frustrating at the time and, right now, it's hard to only have $5 in my checking account, it's been ultimately freeing. I realize what little I really need and how much is hype. Thank you for helping me know what I'll be doing, and should have been doing all along, with the paycheck I'll be receiving tomorrow. :)
once again, you did it again...
your words inspire so much, and so many
receive a hug full of love, from Peru,
samantha.hare
aww. yes i want my nose to itch :)
I wish it was itching because I'm in your thoughts, Mr. Jason. *wishful thinking.. I know..*
My nose actually itched yesterday. Probably someone is missing me somewhere..or probably it's just the crab that i had for dinner last night.
I love to give and to receive stuff. It's just the karma cycle. Give something and the world will repay you in any kind.
Anyway, have a yet another sweaty show in Portugal!!
Love from Malaysia,
Nadzirah
Jason, this is a great piece you have written. I feel the same way and am so glad to see that you have gotten the word out to many, many people via cyber land.
The Story of Stuff is a great site and story. I intend to pass it on to everyone that I know. Hopefully one day people will begin to realize that we all live together on this planet and we're all breathing the same air and consuming the same food...so why not make a change for the better?
Only time will tell, but I have high hopes for the future. Thanks for being a wonderful person and letting the world know your outlook on life. You are always inspiring.
Cheers~
:)
Yes, it does...and thank you! Ahhh, the joys of tossing those old sticky contacts! You look tired, my friend. Safe travels back to the states, and hopefully the revved up crowds will rejuvenate you again.
adakah kau benar-benar baca semua komen-komen ini?
I've been slogging through this day, like riding a bicycle into jello. Still smiling, still thankful, just tired. Amazing the energy your body can draw on when it really needs it.
Looks like being on the road has you digging deep too. Time to go home for a bit and replenish.
Refreshing to know you are always grateful for everything life has given you.
you sir are fantastic!
No, the itch is actually behind my left ear at the moment.
I wonder what that means...
Very inspiring and true blog when I think of all the pictures I've taken on trips and all the quotes next to them.
Love,
~Marie
Mine is. :) maybe from the flu I got for several days.
But your words always awaking, J! Very thoughtful.
I really should put Mr.A to Z on my favourite authors list.
My nose only itches when I shove my face into a kitten, but that works for me, maybe the KITTEN is thinking of me, maybe not, who cares? They're soft!
I bake sweets for my friends and family, and sometimes (ok, once) compose piano music... my family has always been more about hand-made gifts and the meaning of a present. Except when it's an iPod. Music is important! :D
Looking forward to Chicago! (and Bush's possible LRC style show!)
The love is not only a feeling, it is also an art !cf Honoré De Balzac.
Always thought that the nose itching meant you were going to get into a fight or kiss a fool.
Just went through a time where I've been giving and giving with nothing in return. Didn't have to be something of status or a concrete gift. Like when I'm feeling down, hold me when I cry. I was there for them. Why couldn't they be there for me?
Just wonderin'.
P O R T U G A L :D
it's tomorrow :)))))
welcome back :D
MJ counting the minutes to JM ;))
First.. Does your nose itch?
No, but my forhead do.. T_T
Anyways, more clever words from mr. a-z. I never really thought about the hole gift thingin the same way as you (maby something a bit alike but not exacly the same) you just gave me a hole new perspective about it. Beautiful written Jason. Thank you for changing my life and making it better.
xxxx

Thank you for sharing "the story of stuff". I remember my grandmother telling me about making linens and dresses out of flour sacks and of course walking to and from school up hill in the snow both ways...and she is from Alabama! She was a teacher and my grandfather was a disabled veteran. When he died they had over a million dollars in the bank. That kind of wealth can not accumulate on a teachers sallary without some serious care and thought concerning the resources they purchased and consumed. We have gone way off track and it's time that we as individuals start taking action before it is too late. You rule, Jason!
I believe that, when your nose itches, someone is thinking 'bout you or talking 'bout you. Maybe they are gossipping or talking kind bout you. It don't care which one they are doing --> they think and talk about you, someone knows you are alive. That's all I need!
Let the world know you are alive!
Put a smile on someones face...
Make them feel alive and loved!
Kiss x
Margo
What a coincidence, a was thinking about asking you on twitter what do you think/feel/imagine when you close your eyes for a long time while singing up there on the stage...(I'll do if I guess how...)
Yesterday in Madrid was brilliant! I had so much fun enjoying with everyone around. What a great thing singing to unknown people! :D
By the way, that tune wasn't OLE (wich it also is a tipical spanish tune..) it was OE ;)
In Spain we say that when your right ear whistles, someone is saying something good abour u...
I like to cook for my friends, or making some crafts for them, and lots of smiles. That's the way I usually show gratitude.
Life is wonderful, thank you for your contribution Jason.
Besetes! (personal derivation for "besos")
yo
Hey, Mr. Mraz.
Yes, it does itch. It itches more as we get closer to the 18th... Or could just be a sneeze coming... ;)
Pics and tales of travel make the best souvenirs, but I LOVE those little tacky snowglobes. I buy one every place I go. And each has its own story too. :)
Have a nice journey here. Greetings from Portugal.
OMG Jason, with all your adoring fans your nose must itch all the time!!!!!!LOL
Your nose should be itching like crazy. :)
Something pretty exciting happened to me yesterday...I found somebody's wallet! It didn't have a driver's license, but it was stuffed with 20's, so I took it to the counter of the store where I found it. I'm sure the wallet owner re-traced their steps and came back for it eventually. I got so happy just thinking of that person's face when they got their wallet back completely intact. I think I may have made somebody's day yesterday. :) How cool is that?
I hope your day is a joyous one!!
XOXO
"When another tour is nearing its finale, my eyes feel full..."
In that case, I'm surprised they haven't popped out of your head yet!...
Food is cheap in San Antonio. When I'm home, my family and I usually go out to eat breakfast. I always fight with my mother and older sister about the tip: they say I leave too much. This particular time I had left $10.00 for what had cost no more than $20.00 or so.
That same afternoon I got exactly $10.00 from Frost Bank for some fee I was overcharged on stock I hadn't had for at least as long.
Remember that corny line: "Love is never having to say you're sorry"? Well, that's a bunch of crap.
But true giving comes when you expect nothing in return. No reciprocation. None. When you let go of that expectation, you're free...
Actually, I quite like the picture of exhaustion. It has an artistic quality. I say you crop the foreground and slap it in another book. Or use it to make Jason Mraz greeting cards. You'll know what to do with the proceeds. Anyway...
Remember, children, we love what we do!
Love.
hi!
I know my comment isn't related with what you're speaking about , my english isn't so good :$, but I wanted to said that I'm really grateful to jason becouse his concert in barcelona on 15th july was my first concert and it was amazing I love him & his music!

T
It always makes me happy to see when you have made a new post. Each one seems to give me a new and much needed outlook and perception....not only mentally but physically as well! I took your advice on the Vitamineral Green and am enjoying the noticeable change already. Thanks!!
Keep inspiring,
Greg
I WILL BE IN PORTUGAL!
LOVE YOU; JASON
"The wildest audience???!!"..LOL.we'll take it as a huge compliment! ;)
Can wait to see U again in Portugal..I'll be at the front row, as usual ;)
Giving..that reminds me of an old ant..lolol..
I had an ant whom, whenever she poured anything for you, she would say: “Say when!”, and of course, we never did!
We don’t say when because there’s something about the possibility of more!
More tequila, more love, more anything…more is better!
There’s something to be said about a glass half full, about knowing when to say “when”…I think it’s a floating line, a barometer of need and desire. It’s entirely up to the individual…and depends on what’s being poured.
Sometimes all we want is a little taste. Other times, there’s no such thing as “enough”. The glass is bottomless. And all we want … is more! (I have to post this on my blog...lolol)
Catch U up @Marés Vivas ;)
No, but my eyes twitch. When thinking of others who are thinking of me at that same moment along the timeline of history.
Abrigado!
I love internet. Or anything coming from space - stars, sun, ...
They are the sa;e wherever you are in the world.
Glad I can read your posts even here in the uk...supporting my journey :)
inspiring as always
enjoy portugal
Juliette (paris)
Sadly my nose does not itch, but it has been itching a lot more and I am in another country where all my friends are not here so perhaps they are thinking of me. =]
And you do inspire very much so. =D
Your nose should be itching constantly as my 19 month old toddler is emphatically asking to play "fave-it" song over and over again....this, of course, is I'M YOURS.......after hearing it 3 million times i still am moved by the simplicity and love from that song....imagine a sweet faced, blonde, turqouise eyed youngin strumming her harp and singing "lovelovelovelove loooovvvve" as she bashes you in the face to wake you up in the morning. The rest of us listen to a wide variety of music in our house from NIN to Hayes Carll to Bob Dylan - Outkast......Previously the only music acceptable to the baby was the ubiquitous and honorable Robert Nesta Marley----"bob.bob.bob" she would demand and point at record players, computers etc.....Consider it a huge complement that you have become her new favorite.......a priceless, non-plastic gift-the love and admiration from a very young child. Hoping your eyes get some much needed rest...Blessed Be
I never knew you wore contacts.
Anyways, yeah. Sometimes it itches. I think I remember people saying that if your nose itches, you lied. Haha.
He posteado algunos textos antes.

Actos simples actos
A quiénes?
Ella me contestó: A TODOS
Claro, claro, excelente respuesta.

Besos y mucha suerte guapoo!!
Abre los ojos! The spanish version of Vanilla Sky isn't it? Loved that movie. :) U have a great day jason!
I WAS THERE IN BArCELONA!! you're a great singer, you're a great artist!! you're wonderful!!! I travelled from he south of Spain over 1600km just to see you live!!! and I don't regret it, i'm in love with your music!!!
Ah, I just recalled the perfect Fight Club quote:
"The stuff you own ends up owning you"
My eyes actually welled up reading the paragraph you wrote about giving back to those who gave to you for so long. I am in a very similar situation now with my closest friend of over 25 years. What I can give is time and help as she and her husband struggle through their first year with twin boys. Since I work from home I can be there for her a lot and it makes me happy everytime I can give her a hand because through the years she has supported me in more ways than I dare to think of; most of which you listed here.
It is a great day indeed being on either end of kindness, especially with those we love. Thanks for this, you never fail to inspire. ♥
well your nose must itch ALL the time as we're all thinking about you. It must be a little surreal for you to have a whole lot of people you've never met that think you're this awesome inspiration. I will meet you one day and more than likely be totally starstruck and trip over myself but it would be nice to look at you and tell you how much your words and music mean but for now this medium will suffice. Thank you for caring and sharing as always x
Yeah, we're WILD!! I can't wait for the show, I can't wait to feel again the adrenaline of your shows :D
Portugal Rocks :D
P.S: Strangely, my nose itches a bit :O
BEST blog in awhile. love them all, but this was simple, sweet...i learned something for the day..i feel inspired...i gained just enough insight to not become a mraz stalk-a-crazy yet feel hungry for my next jason blog treat..
The Law of Cause and Effect: Thought is cause and effect is its manifest likeness. We are what we think: our thoughts cause our actions in life, and our actions are the results (effects) of our thinking. Toda causa tiene su efecto y todo efecto tiene su causa.
We use hell of a lot of resources; we have in fact too much stuff that we don’t even use because we didn’t need it in the first place. I have already heard about “Story of Stuff”, I also think it’s a great presentation, very revealing. It makes you think if we really are the ones who take decisions in our lives or are there other people thinking in our behalf? Do we want to change things and be the actors or just be the instruments for others to do their performance? We decide. I reckon it’s time to change our attitude (towards the planet, towards life, towards people, towards feelings…) and provoke other causes so we can change the effects.
Thank you for your music lovely man. ! Estás para comerte!
Te mando muuuuchos besos.
My nose itches all the time. . . hmm, maybe it's from all of the DUST on all of the STUFF I have!!
Jason, I love your positive energy, your attitude of gratitude, and your generousity!
Shalom!
A great live in Barcelona! Congratulations to you and your Super Band. You can go home happy because it has been a great Tour!
Thanks for your post. A fantastic blog.
Your people are lucky to have you at his side.
Hasta pronto Jason. Muchos besos.
Un deseo: Que bailes "All night long" esta vez, solo conmigo... ;)
I love you. :-)
That's all.
It didn't start itching until attention was brought to my nose. Funny how that works huh?
Your nose must itch all the time!!

"If we all Give what we Get then there will always be plenty for everyone to enjoy at just the right time."
You are so right. I like to practice Radom Acts of Kindness" whenever I can. I love the look look of surprise and then the smile I get in return.
And BTW...what are your theories on jock-itch and rug burn? :)
As always, thank you for taking time to share moments in your daily life!
<3

See you tomorrow, i'll be in the 1st row! (at least I hope so!)

I still have never seen Abre Los Ojos but this post promted me find a copy of it. I will abre los ojos and watch. Thanks for the reminder...
it does now, thanks.
Less is definitely more. And memories are well-kept in your head filed under experience as you can access them anytime without needing a net connection.
I've been very stuck on the New Radicals song from Surf's Up sountrack lately: "You Get What You Give." Awesome tune.
If you're ever in the mood to support a journey of travel dreams, I'd love to return the favor and be your Reiki master on the next tour. :) Think about it. Keeping the chi moving is good for body, mind, and soul!
You make it easy to love you.
yes it does :-]
but only when you post something :-]
Hi Jason! Not a maniac fan, or wildest one, just a person who
enjoys good music. I didn't know about your blog, but since I found it, and I won't have another oportunity to say this, here it goes.. I hope you won't get mad at me, but last time you were in Portugal, I think you didn't gave everything you could on stage. I was at concert you gave at Coliseu do Porto, and I thought you were very profissional! So much that looks like you forgot the public in front of you. Maybe you're too tired, maybe the public was very very very young. Don't know, just sured you can do so much better! I hope the Douro River gives you the energy you need to face our wildest audience today! See you later!
Were you listening Placebo when you wrote this post? A friend who bleeds is better...
I was at your show in Madrid yesterday singing Olé!!! for you and for your amazing band... thank you for give each one of us the gift of your music... thank you for give each one of us one night with so love, happiness and brotherhood.
I have just returned to Zaragoza, my city, with a big smile on my face and with brilliant eyes... this is my gift from you.
I hope that you could feel yesterday all the love from spanish people for you and for your band... it was our small gift from Spain.
thank you. come back soon.
Yuna
Madrid is truly awesome. One can't have enough of the those tapas! And the Plaza is just so alive even at the wee hours!
I wish I could be as evolved as you are. One day I hope to be as unselfish as you.
No, my ears burn and sometimes both at the same time! I don't think I want to know what that means. :)
If I find that the clasp on my necklace has found it's way front and center, I kiss it, make a wish and turn it back around to where it needs to be. I was told it means "someone special is thinking about you". I don't know, maybe it means nothing as I'm not superstitious per say, I've just been doing since grade school. So, maybe that means it's just a habit?
You are delightful. Very glad a friend directed me to this blog, I honestly didn't know it was here.
a letter for Mr. A-Z

thanks. :)
When an eyelash falls, someone is thinking of you.
Give when someone ask.
I have not checked out Story of Stuff but you remind me of the Story of the Christmas Tree. I read it many years ago when I was little.
I absolutely loved seeing you @ Coliseu do Porto... I got a little "sad" though 'cause you had no time for us in the end...
And I'm sure it's gonna be a great concert tonight... just a little afraid I don't get close enough to the stage... not really used to summer festivals -> only you to drag to a concert where I can not choose a seat LOOOOOL (not that I got to use it that much at coliseu... who can stay put when you're singing anyway???) ;))))
see you*
Perdón no conteste tu pregunta ...
No, mi nariz no me pica.
Quizás tu nariz te está señalando algo. Algo que no estás mirando con el debido detenimiento porque tus ojos estan cansados.
Tengo un bolsa de besos para vos.
A dónde te la envio?

I´ve been waiting for this since 3rd May and now OH YEAH!!! YOURS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT SONG IN OUR COUNTRY!!!!

OMG that´s a record you know?
here, we´re yours, God :-D
My nose actually itched before I checked my blogger. hahaha. Funny.
Yes.. There's this kind of false mentality about humility you know. You think you're unworthy to receive something so you refuse. I still get guilty of that sometimes but I am really trying to overcome it. I just believe that whatever people are giving me, whatever things I am receiving, are all actually gifts of God. :D
And then my nose itched right there!
in japan, it is said that people are thinking about you if you sneeze twice in a row, and talking about you if you sneeze thrice in a row.
Have you ever thought about the fact that FF5000 is orange in hex code?
hey Jason I did it for you :-) hope you like it!

In light of Jason's upcoming show in the Washington D.C. area I figured I would share a little secret with those nearby who enjoyed this post. Every sunday in D.C. Karma Kitchen encapsulates the ideas Jason expressed of helping others and gratitude. Imagine having the most amazing Indian meal you have ever tasted, only to find the bill to be $0.00 (paid for by those who came before you). "Karma Kitchen is an experiment in generosity that moves us all towards incorporating kindness and compassion into our lives. Run mostly by volunteers each week, our meals are cooked and served with love, and offered to the guest as a genuine gift. To complete the full circle of giving and to sustain this experiment, we leave it to the guest to pay it forward, expressing their goodness in whatever way they wish." Come check it out!

You too Jason! It works perfectly since you are playing in the area Saturday night :)
indeed you look tired...is your freshness factor still 5000?
Is good old Europe that exhausting? While giving your energy to the world, don't forget to spare enough relax-time and power for yourself darling, you'll need it coz we need you alive and kicking!
It's funny with the contacts, I always felt somewhat bound to them when throwing them away...yet never thought about it from this aspect - they make me see the world...thanks-a-lot
hugs from Hungary
thanks for the link - it's shocking and mind provoking
good to be on the same continent with you
Dear Mr. Mraz,
The "Story of Stuff" was an amazingly enlightening video, and now I will be actively urging everyone to view it.
Thank you also for the deeply inspirational messages.
And, of course, you are a brilliant musician. :)
Lena
would luv to know the names of the books/cd's that were left for u and changed your life..could use a little enlightenment about right now! thx
Hey, Mr. Mraz. :)
So, have you tossed your contacts out already?
Now, that you're going home (and have a safe journey, by the way), thank you for another night well spent. Marés Vivas was absolutely fabulous and you and your band rocked, once again. Those guys are fantastic.
The perfect place, the most amazing crowd and relaxing music all night long (and, yes, it is a reference to your L. Ritchie's cover). ;) "Three little birds" (which is my favourite Bob Marley song) worked out really nicely too, so congrats.
Hope you come back soon, with some new lenses on your bag. Greetings from Portugal.
J,
thank you***
Marés Vivas 2009 :))) was great;)

Don't stop writing.. because it keeps my brain to think.. and thinking is good.. it's one's self expression.. you know what, your words is like a ticking conscience. it's a good thing though.
Life is a give and take process...
but don't ever forget to give, the excess..
Be safe!
I was in your concert in Madrid this week and it was amazing. Best concert of my life!!
In 2003 I thought it was a shame that I would never be able to see you in concert.
And then boom, 6 years later you're so big in Spain that you come here on tour twice, and still doing amazing music.
You rock!
Btw, you have to thank Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp because they're the reason I started listening to your music. I think it was Jessica who had you as one of her friends in her old website.
You introduce us all into a new way of seeing life. Thanks for that.
Tamara.
PS. Sorry for the bad welcome to Ximena in Madrid. Some people are so rude when they don't know somebody. But she was amazing. She's so talented.
Thanks again for the amazing concert.
First may I say that my nose does not itch. You've truly given me a different insight on "stuff." Thanks for the inspiring post as always. Every time I read one, I love you even more. Thanks for being you.
Just another fan,
Sasha B.
I love the story of stuff! It blew me away the first time i saw it... It made me buy less and appreciate more...
I miss you!
I went on a trip recently. I enjoy it but miss you all the time. I find I can't leave your voice even only one day. I do get into the habit of you! My sunshine ~O(∩_∩)O~
我想你!
