When you wake up, you have an extraordinary opportunity to put something powerful inside of you that will energize, nourish and sustain your being for the whole day. Ordinary breakfasts don’t usually cut it. The body spends an exhausting amount of time digesting the food you eat in search of nutrients, but by the time the top coating of sugar has faded from your blood flow you’re fast asleep at your desk. I can attest from years of snoozing thru first and second period in high school and college.
Therefore, I would like to take this time to formally apologize to Ms. Lohr. My failing was caused not by you or your boring algebra course after all. It was indeed the Frosted Flakes. For this, Tony and I are very sorry.
Come to think of it, I slept thru many jobs once I got out of high school. When I worked for my dad on construction sites I would slip into the cab of the truck for a siesta. When I managed a tobacco store, I made sure the door had clanging bells that would alarm me whenever a customer came in. When I was a stock clerk at the craft store there were more than enough cardboard boxes for me to build my own private hideaway, Fort Slumber.
For years I thought I was just naturally tired, lazy, and/or disinterested in working. But I’ve proven that case wrong over the past 17 months playing and promoting the current album, We Sing We Dance We Steal Things (still available far and wide btw!)
The secret to a great day is how you start your day. And for the past year and a half I’ve avoided eating a heavy traditional breakfast. Instead, I merrily jumpstart my day with the ever-so-awesome Vitamineral Green from Healthforce Nutritionals.

One heaping scoop of this stuff in the morning provides an insane amount of goodness for the body. The powdered greens (from dehydrated plants and algae among other things) taken by itself is enough to live on. It goes straight to the blood and straight to the brain and stays with you all day. I stir mine every morning with ONE-Brand Coconut Water, but I prefer to blend it also with some Flax Oil, Freelife Goji Juice, Avocados, Maca Spice (the Peruvian Viagra) and a few dates. I even do Cayenne pepper on mornings that I want something savory. The flavor options are unlimited and there’s no way you can overdose on the stuff.
Award winning Author and Marathon Runner Haruki Murakami writes, “…(a) condition for being a gentleman would be keeping quiet about what you do to stay healthy. A gentleman shouldn’t go on and on about what he does to stay fit.”
But I’m no gentleman and I practice unconditional love, which is why I don't mind mentioning it. Perhaps Vitamineral Green can simplify your morning and amplify your days as it has mine. I constantly face the challenges of appearing in new time zones, performing late shows followed by early morning flights and repeat workdays, trying on new languages and meeting all kinds of new people that I care to be present for. Traditional breakfast doesn’t help me rise to the occasion. The delicious green shakes do.
Think about it for a second, would you rather start your day with something fattening and/or sugary that ends up around your waist or deep in your ass, or would you rather feel light and energized with a glow that people can recognize? Remember, you are what you eat.
This is not an advertisement. It’s just a friendly traveler’s tip about health and vitality. And if I can still be enjoying it on the road, you and your loved ones will certainly enjoy its benefits in your own home.

Have a great weekend!

I never understood why we danes is called Vienerbrod we don't eat it that much, in fact.. I hate it -.-' It tastes weird..
Also some people think Ikea is the ... what's it called? I can only remember it in German word for it right now.. 'haupstadt'. Anyways, what would the world be without these weird facts and prejudices :-D
Thank you for another fun and healty tip from you Mr. A-Z :-)
all love from Denmark - Linda
and by the way I just rememberd the word! Capital! :-D
Okay I'll try again I just read my comment after I published it (great Linda..)
so Here is what I wanted to say:
...only remember THE German word for...
xxx
:))
gonna go to bed... I'm sooo tired... I'll "answer" as soon as I finish reading "you" ;)
my bfff and roommate has that every day in her smoothies, with avacado, bananas, strawberries and lots of other powdery goodness.
Hey Mr!
I enjoy my breakfasts too, but without these green stuffs. I don't think of the benefits for afterwards, I just enjoy at the real present time.
Still, thanks for sharing!
A big week-end for french people!!
Bye,
Thank you so much for not being a gentleman and sharing this! ;) I've been trying to find ways to feel more energized throughout the day, even with lack of sleep. This sounds really good and i'm excited to try it out! Thanks for exposing me to something new, yet again, and continuing to inspire me in so many different ways.
You have reminded me that I still haven't finished The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles...
I'm grateful for my laptop, even though she can be temperamental at times and of course greens! My little brother told me about your new remix. I wonder if you know about it? Love and abundance chico! Check this video out, it's on the radio in PA+NJ- I'm Yours ft Lil Wayne & Jah Cure - http://bit.ly/2lG2xN
I know exactly what you mean about sleeping through the early morning and waking up in different time zones, trying to appear coherent and alive, somnambulating through airports, desperately resolving to avoid caffeine but failing miserably with all the coffee shops' wafting smells beckoning. I will try to find the ingredients in the Health Food store here in Manila. I tried Green Lightning powder before and I hated it, and threw the rest out. Maybe your recipe will make me change my mind.
Speaking of breakfasts...
I absolutely loooved the blood sausages I had in Egham, but my American colleagues wouldn't touch it when we were there. If you haven't tried yet, I recommend the aloo pratha in Chennai, the fresh spring rolls in Ho Chi Minh, two of my other all-time vegetarian favorites.
Thanks for your blog. It's nice to read about someone who has been to so many places as well. You are a beautiful person, both inside and out. I hope you live forever!
hummm...
have to read the label... and think;))
I'm too attached to my breakfast -> azorian green tea and 2 loaves with butter or jam... at 6am... and at 9h40 I always get "refuel" at the school cafeteria;))
gonna see the link;)
kisses*
:) you like Paulo Coelho's books 2?
loooved "Brida"
...and maple candy. I'm grateful for friends that bring me souvenir candy (even though I may not eat it; I don't like the taste of maple.)
Amen to your post brother! I wish I had paid more attention to the reactions certain foods cause sooner, from sleepiness to itchiness to acne to depression.
To anyone who goes out to eat regularly in the US: you are eating three times the amount of food your body needs! Minimum. Even if you order a salad, you're probably overeating.
What I'd like to read more about, though, is the effect megadoses of anything might have on your body. Your organs still have to process it all...
Even so, anyone who keeps a schedule like yours has to be doing something right. Personally, I think it's all of the oxygen you take in when you sing, so maybe you should give two concerts a day instead of just one!
And what was that you said? The Danish eat "vieners" for breakfast?
Here's to your health.
Yes breakfast needs to be extraordinary.
Not an advertisement? Sure sounds like one.
What a timing, J? I literally just woke up, checked my email from my phone and got this entry. And also just when i was craving for my sugary cereal.. You make me feel guilty for wanting them.
Bacon, Beans, Toast. It's where it's at.
you've inspired me to eat healthier. thank you!
Hehe, I drink Alkavision's Green Shield! (and a liquid 'green' vitamin, and a couple multi-vitamins, and desiccated liver) Have you noticed your hair and nails growing faster (and stronger)? :)
I wish I was as healthy in lifestyle as you are, though, I take so many vitamins because I KNOW that I'm not getting enough nutrition from my diet... but at least my fruit and veggie intake has increased dramatically these past few months. And once our avocados start ripening, well, I might just become avocadivorous!
Also, as a little 'ps'... you're a lucky dog for being able to sleep during the day! It's almost impossible for me to sleep while the sun is awake.
I cannot believe that you just quoted "What I Talk About When I Talk About Running", it's absolutely one of my favorite books. Awesome.
Living and learning, right, Mr. Mraz? :)
I'm kind of partial to the whole eating thing, even if it goes deep into my ass. There's nothing like the Portuguese food (that you can be certain of) and I do love eating. :) Although I haven't eaten meat for 8 years, everything else goes.
Still, you're right. An energizing breakfast is the way to go, so thank you for the tip. Keep on sharing. :)
Greetings from Portugal.
Love the Mrazomercial. Will have to check it out and see (or sea depending on those ingredients you mentioned). Thanks for always sharing your tips for a better mental and/or physical life for those of us who enjoy reading ♥
sounds like a good way to quit red bull to me! I'm in.
Thanks for the advice! This all sounds like a great way to feel energized throughout the day without eating a heavy/fatty breakfast! I am so grateful for your music and positive attitude, which is very contagious! Thanks for being you.
A devoted fan,
Sasha B.
Hello Jason, you don't know me but I know your name :)
It is the avocado! The avocado did it. Easy to love avocados.
Hey Jason,
We drink this quite a bit! We are trying to perfect it so I will try the coconut water. We add Chocolate bliss to it and ice cause I like it cold! I gave of Coffee 7.5 months ago and never looked back but I then started drinking coke slurpees...I am starting to think I have an addictive personality and I always need rewards...what the hell?? Maybe I should make the greens my treat??psych myself out. We will see! Lots of love to you and yours and thank you for sharing as always!
Rose
thanks, i've been kicking around ideas on how to get greens into my morning smoothies!...i don't dig on blended spinach or kale.
i got tickets to your denver show at red rocks today and i am super pumped!!! they're GREAT too!!
thanks, Universe!!! i love you, ginger!
Haven't regularly had bfast since junior HS. Only eat bfast when I'm traveling to give myself energy to run around like a madwoman. A cup of joe is enuff to jumpstart my normal day. Not sure if I can handle this green stuff. I'd rather get my energy & nutrition from real fresh foods--not from dehydrated veggie powder...but whatever floats ur boat, eh?
Still luving ur music...
Luv & laughter, K
you keep my body goin strong. thank you.
Ok so I ate one poptart for breakfast yesterday and then today you do this... As usual you just seem to speak to me. Still can't imagine eating the green stuff for breakfast. But it's good food for thought.
Perfect. I've actually been looking for something like this - I usually stick with fruit and yogurt in the mornings, but find myself drained and starved by lunch time (even though it is technically a late lunch). Once my next paycheck rolls in, I'm definitely ordering some of this stuff.
Thanks for the wonderful suggestion! I'm going to have to invest in some coconut water, too!
If you get a chance to read this, I'd like to thank you, sir. I still eat sugary cereal. I quite like it. But I have this similar problem of being very happy to nap, though I want to be out changing the world. I also figured it was just my natural state. Now that you mention it, maybe I'll try this green stuff. I know you're right, and it's about time I did better, especially as a singer. Everything about the body seems to affect the voice in some way.
Have a good one you too!!.. and that's nice!!!... something that can get you thru the day... that something to try!!! xD I can't wait to see you in philly!!!
Paz!! eres lo mejor xD
Love J!!!
this is the best morning reads i've ever come across. i had half-boiled egg for breakfast :) loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee how you live life, how you focused on the simplest things. i have gazellion love for you Jason!
All good intentions aside-if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...
Don't apologize if you ARE advertising for something you believe has truly made a difference in your life. Just so long as your motivations are pure, it is a "recommendation". Sharing what works for you may inspire others to take a second look at their plate.
We should all pay more attention to everything we put into our bodies. From the foods that we eat, to the quality of the water we drink,to the items that attract the attention of the border patrol.
Keep it healthy and natural.
After reading this blog I realize "...so that's the problem."
I will rethink about how I start my day.
Thanks for sharing this great thing...
Whenever I remember to make breakfast [which is odd since I usually stay up all night and morning, then crash around 10am], it consists of eggs and toast and sometimes even diced tomatoes. Strawberry milk or orange juice. Even lemonade!
Also, my cinnamon toast is incredibly divine. Mum doesnt know where I got my cooking talent from, but I think it was dad's mum. :]

I think i should start fueling myself with good breakfast from now. No more instant stuffs.
Anyway, pls come back to Malaysia! We have so much love for you here!!
Living high,
Nadzirah
Breakfast should be your main meal, I cannot live without it.
Though I am a carb/protein person.
Keeps me burning through 12 hour days no problem.
"just say no to pop tarts"
my breakfast consists of cereal and coffee or tea or a plate of fruit with coffee or tea or perhaps a sandwich of integral bread and ham but i think i going to try to get mitamineral green =)

You wore a ring on your finger! Did you find a love?
Please show your happiness. I was really looking forward to see it!
...Maybe...Someday...There will be a baby named...Little Jason...A symbol of your love and companionship family~O(∩_∩)O~Bless you!
An inspiration as always. Once I've had this baby (9 days to go now, eeeek!) I will try out your theory, for sure - as Im going to need all the energy I can get!
Hope you're well Jason x
I agree! How can you not eat in the morning? It's the most important thing to start the day.
* a cuppa coffee
* 2x bread and jam
* fruit (an apple)
* orange juise
* the newspaper
--> ready to gogo!!
Kiss
Stay healty!!
Wow Jason, you've come along way! We met at the Beacon years ago, when Raul opened for you (I used to work for Arif Mardin, and Joe occasionally of course). Still rock the ORIGINAL version of Live at Java Joe's!!! called it the best live album of the decade YEARS ago in Hifi+. I'm was so psyched to see that image from Glastonbury - you were KILLIN' it in front of all those people - I know you were. i'm gonna try this stuff.
I am grateful for you jason, I am not tired of saying that you write the most awesome things! and actually, my breakfast is really healthy!,:) ! I am seeing you in like 7 days in Marés Vivas festival, and I'm so excited, that I could scream in the middle of the street!!! Love You
hmmm i'm a no-go-er for brekkie. always get up too late. shame. sounds like such a joyous occasion. hope to join you in this celebration someday. x
Cash flow is a lifeblood for every business.Immediate payment will always make your company financially healthy.

Jason,
I love it when you give health tips. THey have been very healthful and helpful to me so thankyou.
Ihope I can afford the stuff......
but I'm not sure why you need viagra........course you are getting older
Agape,
Millie
I love your We Sing We Dance We Steal Things album!
I think somebody did his homework. :) Thanks for sharing your secret with us. I usually start my day with grapefruit or bananas, but I think I could use a little more energy in the AM to keep up with all the goings on in my life. Thanks again for the info.
By the way, have you ever played scrabble slam? We were up 'til the wee hours playing...we couldn't stop, it's so fun. Aren't we a wild and crazy bunch? ha! It really is a riot, you should try it. :D
Oh how I love summer.
Have a wonderful day!
XOXOXO
@Millie... LOOOOL!!!
thank you for the good humor ;))
kiss*
I always feel so sleepy after i eat lunch or dinner and i blame that on low metabolism rate. But what you say makes a lot of sense too. Guess i'll need to cut down on all the sweet stuff like the cookies and cream milkshake i had with my dinner...
Oh my God! I just pulled up a picture of Hershey Park Stadium. It's humongous! It's not even funny how big it is! I'm going to have to go through hypnosis therapy to make it through this one...
Actually, I'm exaggerating. I'm annoyingly calm most of the time, no matter what the circumstances. Except when I see mice. (I recently watched "Shakespeare in Love" and the mouse-boy freaked me out. What an excellent way to make a child despicable.)
I don't have any phobias that I know of, but I definitely have preferences. And I prefer not to be around that many people at the same time, ever.
The things I do...
so thats why my waist just wont get smaller?
Great advice.
will try to lead a healthier life from now on
You're no gentleman but you're friendly man, J!
Love.
Hi Jason, thank you for your tip. Anyway, I heard from dr. Weil that flax oil is not recomended for men. try the ground one.
flaxseed lover
Puz
i usually don't wake up in time for breakfast, but this coming school year i have extremely early morning classes so this may be just the thing i need so i don't pass out! you really are just a "ray of sunshine." =]
Gotta say the truth:
Honey you´re weird.
That´s the reason I love u!
I´ll try to get it, if you say it´s good I believe you.
If there wasn't Jason Mraz....
Thank you! ;)
Oh Jason. You already got me to do the raw food, now I gotta add this green stuff?? Ha ha! Just kidding. I really should try it. I still drink a cup of coffee to wake me up in the morning. Then I haveb my fruit for breakfeast and sometimes a yogurt. But I definitely enjoy sleep. Next to seeing you live in concert, sleep is my most favorite thing to do!!
Don't forget to ENJOY foods, Jason. You are what you eat, we say - but it matters HOW you eat, who you eat with etc.(^_^)
I save yummy coconut water for after yoga replenishment, and use organic raw Qephor for morning smoothie. (you can get it at La Jolla wholefoods or Jimbo's by special order, if you ever want to try it)
We are living and dying at the same time, and we should cherish the present like nobody's business!
Enjoy foods and being healthy, don't be obsessed with it, mostly, enjoy a life that is given to you! :)
Muchos love,
p.s. Murakami didn't mean to keep his health secrets to be unkind, it's just the cultural stuff - please don't take offense on our culture! Thank you! ^_^
Hello, Jason
I don't believe that! I go to Ireland, Paris, London, Cologne and Lisbon on july and august..but I can't watch your show!
I'm a brazilian and I like your songs! Will you come to Rio?
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I've been looking for something to improve my energy level and overall quality of life, but every time I see the rows and rows of products(each one claiming to be better than the rest), it's overwhelming.
After going to the website and reading the ingredients, this sounds like the complete package. For everything it has, it's well worth the price ... and I'm as frugal as they get!
I understood your comment about not advertising this product to mean that you were not getting PAID to promote it, but wanted to share this information with your fans, because of the benefits you have experienced from using it.
By the way, according to Webster's Dictionary a "gentleman" is a man of good family and social standing; a courteous, gracious and honorable man.
Thank you for being the gentleman that you are!
Sweetie?
Are you now doing commercials? I mean the stuff is cool, I use it.
Just wonderin' if all is chill with ya...
8o\
all dressed up (the mraz dress code) and ready to go...;))
http://twitpic.com/a1lj5
...do the we sing we dance stuff!!
just a week from my 2nd live mraz moment;)))
weeeeeeeeeee
see you @ marés vivas
Thank you very much for sharing! As a fellow raw foodist, I appreciate good recommendations like this. *thumbs up!*
Hi,
The product seems contain lot of ayurvedical ingredients:
• Alfalfa Leaf Juice
• Holy Basil/Tulsi
• Chickweed
• Ginger Root
• Parsley Juice
• Amla Berry
It is look like Chyavanprash used in india. maybe a bit different.
It is difficult nowadays to find bio ayurvedical products.
Thanks a lot Jason.
I'll be the lone dissenter in the votes of confidence...it's great that you're promoting people to eat healthier, but the body uses nutrients a lot better and more effectively from natural sources than artificial ones, ie, from actual fruits and veggies rather than a mix or pills.
I drink their Maca and although I like the way it makes me feel, no matter what I tell myself while I'm drinking it, it still tastes like a burnt rubber tire!
hey jason : )
yea, being green is a very important lesson for everyone.
u're my biggest idol :)
Wow. I want to have that kind of breakfast too. I want to feel the way you do. Hopefully one of these days I;ll bump into one of those in the grocery/supermarket, try it out and feel the same radiance and energy as you do. :)
i was at this organic store yesterday and guess what i saw?!!?
ORGANIC 100% NATURAL POP TARTS!!!
wootwoot
I am loving how health-conscious you are! My mom is a new Mraz fan, and it's hugely because of your hippie lifestyle...she especially likes that you are a raw foodist and says that raw foodists are "great people on the inside".
My dad is also huge on the superfoods promotion. We actually have a product you might be interested to try, something coconut-based..pure amino acid and goes directly to the blood stream. If you've seen the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding, this is my dad's Windex: drinks it, puts it in his food, applies it on cuts, cures body odor (don't ask me how he proved this)...works on everything and anything.
Check it out if you want and let me know if you want me to send you some. Take care, J!

Jason,You are a industrious good kid~~~~~! ^_^
I’ll take your words, from now on,take my breakfast seriously everyday.
我会听你的话...以后每天都乖乖地吃早餐,让自己一天都精神充沛的工作,然后听着你的歌声, ~ A SWEET DAY !
LIFE IS WONDERFUL~~
Love as usual,
Catalina
so if you are what you eat, in your case you'll be GREEN??
thanks Jason!!
You should think about putting together a little cookbook. Such wonderful suggestions! I loved the chocolate avocado recipe. I use it all the time with a slight alterations! delicious!!
Great post! And LOL at how you referred to Maca as the Peruvian viagra. I'm Peruvian btw. Maca is awesome :)*
Sex in the morning, thats what I say... or an oral delight... That is the breakfast of champions!!
Maybe?!
Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with the world. I've been positively impacted by many of your suggestions and information you have shared, and so have many of those who surround me. I thought you might like to know that you've created big ripples in my little corner of this pond. :) I am so inspired by your energy, loving spirit, generosity, and determination to live YOUR life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.( my father always implement that fact to us! ) and it really is. I also have my share of using products like that, but I think the ultimate goal is just keeping yourself healthy. watching what you eat, drink a plenty of water, etc.. and especially giving yourself a laugh a day.. or just a smile. It is the most energizing supplement everyday...But, i believe each of us has it's own ideas of what is good for our own body..and I solely respect that..
Do you agree?
Be safe!
very green
I do eat breakfast. I simply do not call it "breakfast" because I am not awake in the morning.
Therefore, I feel just fine eating simple lunch foods for "breakfast". Nothing wrong with a good sandwich when you hop outta bed.
Here's to all late-shift workers out there and noon being the start of their day!
(p.s. that green sh*t sounds nasty. Definitely not for my queasy nooner stomach.)
Hey Jason.
I read your whole blog from 1977 to now and Jason - it's wonderful.
Your blog is better than every book I know, better than "The Alchimist" and so on. Just because it's you who wrote this blog and your feelings, your thoughts and there's no imagination. And that's what I cannot believe, there are so many things in your blog where I only napped 5 minutes long.
My dream is to be like you, because you've got so many power, so many inspiration. I wanna make music too, with the guitar or the piano or with both. I wanna sing all my experiences and scream it out into the world, where other people hear it and think about it. Music was my life when I was young and I think it'll be ever my life.
Jason, be proud of you and make it yours. Go your way and I hope I'll see you in Germany.
I never saw you in real. And now I'm regretting it. Damn, I wished I could turn back time and see you times and times again, and again, and again. I would go to every concert in my near! But now it's too late. I don't mind, I think, I'm gonna see you.
“When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
You know?
Everything is fine. Not finAL.
In Joy,
Jenny.
I forgot to write that my English isn't so good, I'm sorry for that! Hihi.
Ann NOW I'm totally confused and shocked. I went into the bath and in the radio was "Lucky"!! Normally, in German radio aren't songs of you but now.. I'm confused.
I'm so glad to have discovered your blog- just bought a ticket to your Vancouver, BC show in September- woo hoo! Are you familiar with Vega? 100% plant based alakaline forming nutrition? Formulated by vegan triathlete brenden Brazier? Hemp based with Maca and Chlorella as well...plus they've a Smoothie Infusion and other products that would work for you and float your boat; not 100% raw but the bars are,and organic....the Vega Sport would be perfect for you as well....myvega.com. Not to sound like an ad, either ;) I've been vegan for years, work as an actor/trainer and have known Brendan for a while.....it's great whole food stuff. Thanks for your work- your music, your musing, your light and joy!
I absolutely agree with you!!! As i am peruvian, i have sometimes in my (soy) milk a spoonful of "Kiwigen" which is for us, peruvians, 10 times better than chocolate. It has Quiona, Amaranth, Kiwicha and Macandina, all cereals from the andes. Check it out! I was just there last week and i brought back 15 KG of FOOD AND SPICES BUAHAHAHHAH!!!!
Have you tried Mate de coca or Una de gato infusions??? Go for it, go for it, go for it...
I love my peruvian food, what can i say! I had the yummiest and biggest avocados EVER for breakfast...hmmm
My boss and i tried to impose a healthier breakfast in our office by bringing fruit, dark bread, vegs (avocados and cucumber)and fruit infusions to avoid that our trainees have their cookies for breakfast and then have a sugar drop that makes them super tired by mid morning obliging them to buy a coke and drink it for sugar...we gave them this speech about having healthier foods that will keep their sugar levels steady blah blah...but it didnt really stick in i think!
It is worth trying though, because it gives them something to think about just like your post did.
I admire you for that :)
Frosted Flakes, Sugar Pops, Super Sugar Crisp, Cap'n Crunch -- been there, done that! But it's not only the excess sugar that got me, it was the excess fat in the fried eggs-n-bacon, homemade biscuits and grits slathered in butter that my Southern mama made for us every morning (cereal was for Saturday morning cartoons in the 70's :P)
Now I go for "superfoods" au naturale on a low-fat, raw vegan diet recommended by VegSource's Raw Food and Sports Nutrition guru and trainer to world-class athletes, Dr. Doug Graham (author of "The 80/10/10 Diet," foodnsport dot com.)
Fresh, ripe, whole, raw, and preferably organic fruits & veggies with nuts & seeds on the side, and you've got the original fast food/pick-me-up!!
Cheers ~
"Lucky" Penne :o)
Jason! Thank you SO MUCH for being a spokesperson for good health! As someone who suffered from Stress-Induced Gastritis by the age of 21, I spent hundreds of dollars going to doctors, getting prescriptions, and nothing helped. Finally, I turned to yoga, journal writing, internal reflection, and a vegetarian diet rich in greens and raw foods. I can say that I feel 100% better (emotionally AND physically)and 60 pounds lighter!! Now I am an aspiring nutritionist and yoga instructor.
I love, love, love that you are speaking out about your healthy lifestyle! I hope you can influence how your fans begin to view what they eat, and the ideal that your body IS your temple!
Keep writing, singing, bloggin, and inspiring!
If you haven't already, I highly recommend the documentary Food, Inc. It is absolutely wonderful and shows how we, as the American consumers, can make healthier decisions which will in turn impact the freshness and safety of our food. Please promote!
wonder if it's good on a poptart? lawlz
I only have a pineapple juice every morning for breakfast!
P.S. are you coming to Peru someday? Please come!! :)
Is it true that you are vegan? I read it on so many sites, and this kinda hints at it.
I am vegan for almost a year, but i was vegetarian since I was 12.
:) :)
I'm very excited to try this! I love breakfast, and I love fuelling my body with energy that allows me to study in the afternoon instead of crash! Currently, my breakfasts are fairly balanced but the only green I see is green tea!
One thing to point out though: When trying a new product carefully reading the ingredient list is a must! Also, starting with a small amount to test how your body responds is wise; you may find yourself allergic to something surprising
Thanks for sharing!
Much love
mm. made me think. Thank you!
cheers
L.
